Pictures of Durban, South Africa! What beautiful scenery Tyler has!

Dylan and Emily Christmas 2008

Dylan and Emily had a wonderful Christmas. We got up a little earlier than usual, ate breakfast a little earlier than the norm, awaiting our exciting phone call from Tyler in South Africa! The kids didn't mind breaking into their gifts quickly, as we didn't want any crackling paper, opening boxes etc. while we were on our most precious phone call! All in all, it was a great Christmas!!

Maurine's parents join us for Christmas!

Celebrating Christmas afternoon with the
Henrys! Maurine's parents came for the afternoon and we had a wonderful prime rib Christmas dinner together, and after had pumkin pie and listened to the hour long conversation with Tyler which we recorded to share with them. With all the snow we got throughout the entire Christmas Day, it was a good thing they were only 7 houses away! How wonderful!

Ok so we agree, this beautiful Christmas tree is enormous! This year I decided to let the kids help me decorate, as I was quite exhausted getting Tyler off on his mission and behind on decorating no less. It turned out so good, I think I will let them join in next year as well - they are permanently hired! I should have let them help me more before!

This picture was taken about a week ago, and we have had about 1 1/2 feet of snow since! We are enjoying it, and had a very White Christmas with snow coming down all day! We are really enjoying
Utah, like they say, "The Best Snow on Earth!" We think so!

Tyler arrives in Durban (out of the MTC)

I thought you'd like to know Elder Ockwig has arrived in Durban, and we are delighted to have him! He's just in time for our December all-mission zone conference, so he will meet all the elders and couples at once. It's a nice way to feel part of things right away. I promise we'll take good care of him.
Sincerely,
Sister Mann
